CygNet Optical Transmission Network Management

CygNet Optical Transport Network OSS is a state-of-the-art solution that provides the complete OSS functionality with respect to Transport domain. It is built on CygNet Service Management Platform with its robust Discovery/Network Inventory foundation. Fault Management (FMS), Root Cause Analysis/Service Impact Analysis (RCA/SIA), Performance Management (PMS), Network Planning, Service Provisioning & Activation (SPAS) are overlays on top of the platform. The entire gamut of optical technologies - SDH, DWDM, CWDM, ASON, OTN, PTN, MOT, MPLS-TP etc. are covered by the solution. The solution is SDN/NFV ready and provides the capability of integrating with a range of NFV solutions from multiple vendors and provides fault with RCA (by correlating hardware & software alarms), performance data etc.

  • The auto discovery feature allows the discovery of Transport devices, including the provisioned circuits. The auto discovery feature can be scheduled to discover the devices based on schedules or on demand. Automatically discovers physical ports, links, logical links
The Event/Alarm Management System includes Fault Management, as well as Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Service Impact Analysis (SIA) capability. It is integrated with an ITIL compliant Trouble Ticketing system which automatically raises a Trouble Ticket based on pre-defined rules.
CygNet OSS modules like capacity management for Transmission Network which enables the customers to create order and a workflow to generate the work order.
